The WCL Democrats hosted a panel about Election and Lobby Law on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 12 pm to 1 pm in Room 601. Students had an opportunity to learn more about this specialized area of law and to ask questions about different career paths. An intimate insight into the daily professional lives of these attorneys was discussed as they analyzed the effects of Shelby County v. Holder and instant runoff voting. The panel was moderated by Professor William Yeomans, Fellow in Law and Government, American University Washington College of Law. The speakers included Drew Spencer from FairVote, Rudolph McGann from DC Board of Elections, and Craig Engle from ArentFox.
